I had a zoom call with Dr. Leigh and Mr. De Silva considering the SOS village and how we will proceed with a DLP service. It was really interesting to learn about the ways we will engage with the SOS kids and how I as the service learner will be able to plan the sessions and help the members of SOS village be involved. I am thrilled to start this DLP Service Program because it helps us build a sense of community and we will be seeing new faces for a change! which will be amazing because we need to engage with people outside the OSC community as well. By doing so, we impact our mental health positively because during DLP we are always on our phones and laptops and we never really get time to engage in service but this opportunity helps us engage in this amazing program which will be exciting and positive. We disscussed our plan for this year and how I can execute my responsibilities as a service leader better. The learning outcomes involved in this are LO3, LO4 & LO5.
