As a part of the SGA (Secondary Government Association), we annually organize the Gecko Factor. The Gecko Factor is a talent show in which our students show off their respective talents, such as singing, dancing, stand-up comedy and so forth. Then, judges evaluate their performance and thus participants are ranked first, second, third etc.

Organizing the Gecko Factor included but wasn’t limited to printing tickets/posters, selling tickets, making a Google Form for participants to register, communicating with each participant to ensure they had what they need and finding teachers to be judges. This was especially difficult as all teachers were busy, and thus it was challenging for them to accommodate Gecko Factor into their schedule. It was also difficult as we had to schedule different times to communicate with each participant.

Nonetheless, organizing Gecko Factor was an interesting and fulfilling experience. Through this experience, I showed Learning Outcome 3 (LO 3) as I helped plan Gecko Factor. As I collaborated with a large group of people (SGA, participants, teachers, auditorium staff) to do so, I also demonstrated LO 5.
