Continuing my exercise routine!

After a short break, I’ve finally managed to return back to my usual routine of school and exercise. It’s been much harder to stay motivated these past few weeks mainly because of my more busy schedule, so now that it’s the begging of term, I’ve got much more time to dedicate to exercise. So I started this off with a small workout routine to try and get back into the swing of things, whilst last time I was more dedicated to try and get my body more used to the same daily workout, now I want to try and have a more varied workout routine. So this may include working on different body parts like arms, legs, etc, and working on making a diet. This can help me get more accustomed to different ways of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and not make me reliant on one singular workout routine.

This relates to learning outcomes 1 (Identifying my own strengths i.e the older workout routine and developing areas for growth, i.e creating a new workout plan),3 (Planning my workout routine to give me time over the next four weeks after school and on the weekends).

Well, I think it’s safe to say my plan didn’t go exactly how I wanted it to.  It’s been roughly two months since I set out to start my plan and I’ve definitely had my fair share of hardships. Work and family life have taken priority for me, and one of the main reasons I had set out to do more exercise was to feel better about myself. “Feeling totally fine and comfortable” with myself comes in ebbs and flows, and when I started this exercise routine I knew I wanted to feel good about myself and be more healthy. Whilst I did enjoy doing continuing workouts every day, I think that just wasn’t for me. I personally don’t like to stick to one workout routine, nor diet. Over the past couple of months, I’ve definitely added healthier foods to my diets, and I’ve also been going out more, riding my bike, swimming laps, walking the dogs, and even exercising at least a few times a week. Personally, this more casual way of exercise and activity benefits my personal well-being much more. I like to keep my body active through multiple different medians. I think I managed to show personal development, but also adaption to the circumstances, I wanted to leave to house more whilst still being active and this was a perfect way to do this.
