Mr. Jehan De Silva, our marketing director, had a great idea for No Shame November. Following the tradition of No Shave November or Movember, where men don’t shave for a month to raise awareness for men’s health issues, Mr. De Silva wanted our help creating another social awareness campaign that promotes kindness and understanding. He came up with a slogan:
#NoShameNovember
I am not ashamed of my ethnicity.
I am not ashamed of my culture.
I am not ashamed of my religion.
I am not ashamed of my body or the way I look.
I am not ashamed of my abilities or passions.
I am not ashamed of what makes me unique.
I am not ashamed of being different.
I am not ashamed of being ME.
You are YOUnique ️ So be proud of who you are.
Remember, there’s only one of you!
We really wanted to add more ideas to this so that we could put them on a poster. We spent a service session working on posters and putting them up around the school. Following is the new slogan we came up
