Care for Paws – Bake Sale

In order to raise money so that we can organise another sterilization camp this year, we collaborated with the new service, Elephant Sanctuary on organizing a bazaar. Our service was in charge of the bake sale and the pledge. The event was hosted on world animal day, so we had a pledge that people had to sign and agree to certain anti-animal cruelty actions for the day (ex. avoid eating animal products). Everyone who agreed got to sign the pledge and stamp a paw on it (we made stamps for this as well).

Each member from our service had a role, some were in charge of: the bake sale, stamps, pledges, posters for the event. I helped make the pledge and the bake sale.

Each member responsible for the bake sale brought homemade goods. With a range of different sweets, from cookies to brownies.

Since this was a big event, we gave a chance to both, primary and secondary school to attend. However, due to primary’s shorter classes, they were able to come first and bought almost everything from the bake sale stand. Leaving secondary school with more limited choices. However, at the end, it was very successful and we were able to sell all of our goods, as well as get many signatures for the pledge!
