Personal workout w/ trainer and cousin

With the outbreak of Covid, working out had become really hard and challenging alone. Working out just with my body weight became a significant issue for me as I started to lose body mass and sharpness. To combat this issue, my family spent money and bought a home gym with the right equipment, which meant working out could be dangerous without the rights supervision.

So I got a personal trainer for my fitness journey, and my cousin joins me on my fitness journey at home during these Covid times. During this time, my cousin and I worked on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays every day at 5 PM. At this time, the lockdown was lifted, so our personal trainer was able to come home and help us with weights and technique. We designated days for specific muscle groups, with Monday for upper body and back, Wednesday for legs and biceps, Friday for chest and triceps. the designation of a particular day for muscle groups is done to allow muscle groups to recover in between and also to exercise efficiently

During these few months of working out at my home gym, I’ve seen a significant improvement in my physique as well as my motivation to work out. As before I started are used to be very lethargic; this is due to the massive break from swimming and other extract extracurriculars due to covid and lockdown. But now, after working out, I’ve gotten back to my athleticism, and I’ll become a lot fitter.

My cousin accompanied me on this fitness journey, and she has seen tremendous improvement with weight loss which was her goal; and for me, I’ve gained weight through muscle which is my goal; I went from being 60kgs to 64 kgs 5 kgs of muscles gained. This will be a massive factor for me when I get back in the pool as now I will have the muscles ready to get toned and prepared for racing, and with these new muscles that I’m developed, I’ll be able to adapt to the pool much easier than if I start assuming from scratch.

This will help my CAS journey action as it will help me achieve my workout goals and my swimming goals, targeting two categories within my experiences. This activity focuses on perseverance and hard work and improved past skills and new skills. I can’t wait to continue training and see what is left for me, and I can’t wait to improve my physique and athleticism for swimming.
