Being part of the Boys SAISA Football team I decided to help in the designing of our 2018-2019 home, away kit as well as a traveling shirt. I already had some experience with the designing software (Illustrator) when Luca and I designed the Boys SASIA Volleyball team’s kits.

We (Rizqi, Nehe, Luca and author) started off trying to find inspiration on how we wanted our kits to look like. We came up with several ideas however, we ended choosing a platform similar to an Italian team called U.C. Sampdoria. I was the main man that used our ideas and put it into the software so, I used an already made template of a shirt that I got on the internet and used the software tools to create the specific color, lines, and texture that we had planned on a piece of paper. The same design for the shorts would be kept from last years football kit.

We first designed the home kit and then the away kit. The traveling shirt was last designed since it would be easy to just take the same font and sizes from the previous traveling shirts however, changing the back logo so, that was done last. Luca had already made a few possible football logos for the traveling shirt and a final decision was made because we wanted to keep the same theme (blue, red, white) and style the same to the Boys SAISA volleyball traveling shirt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rizqi had made a front logo that would symbolize the nation of Sri Lanka as a twist from the U.C. Sampdoria kit front logo. With all the necessary elements already made and finalized I had to just accumulate everything into our vision of the kit using Illustrator.

Once I had an example of what the home and away kit plus the traveling shirt looked like on soft copy I sent it to Mr. Tunrer (Boys SAISA Football coach) who would go over our designs and make the final cuts. The end product had slight differences to want we imagined however, kept the same concept. It looks pretty cool.
