IBeWell Friday was a successful attempt at reducing stress for the majority of the students and helping them take a break from the strenuous computer screens. In short IBeWell Friday is a friday where all students have to participate in doing 3 of the following 4 categories: Creativity, Activity, Service, and Wellness. Once we have finished doing the following, we are required to share our experiences on a padlet created by the teachers.

So far IBeWell Friday has occurred twice and for both times my homeroom/advisory supervisor asked us to create a schedule for the IBeWell Friday. Below are said schedules:

Creativity:

For creativity I felt as though I should do something I have always wanted to but haven’t due to procrastination or because I have not been able to get the time for it. With IBeWell Friday it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try and start drawing. I decided to draw an anime character who look interesting following a tutorial online. I drew Ken Kaneki from the anime Tokyo Ghoul and I drew Roronoa Zoro from the anime One Piece. The reason I decided to draw anime characters specifically is because anime has always been something I have loved since childhood and I felt as though I should draw something I care about. I didn’t finish either of the drawings because it had honestly been 2 hours since I started drawing and I wanted to take the time to study ahead in some classes and rest since I hadn’t been getting enough due to the new DP workload. Although I say this, part of the reason why I stopped was also because I personally find hair extremely hard to draw. Whenever I draw it, it never feels right and it always comes out completely different than how I imagined it.

Activity:

For the first IBeWell Friday I decided to go out and be a little active by riding my ripstick and penny board on the roof. It was a fun experience and it was quite nostalgic as well. Although it did get a little repetitive and boring as I was stuck on my roof so after doing some tricks and just riding for fun I decided to go on a walk near my house. For the second IBeWell Friday I decided to be more active when it came to my health so I decided to do a workout. I could have done a a full-body HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout however I decided to do one focused on  legs. This was because my calves are honestly quite small and I wanted to improve my vertical so that I could jump higher for volleyball which would make it easier for me to hit spikes.

I have no photos of the workout that I did however I do have a link to the workout I did:

Service:

For the first day of IBeWell Friday I decided to do the dishes for lunch and breakfast. I was planning on doing more chores like mopping the floor and cleaning the fans however my maid was over that day and did most of the chores. Thus I only ended up doing dishes. There is not really much to say when it came to this except for why I chose to do service over wellbeing. I chose service as I wanted to make my mothers workload less because she has some health problems however with my father at work and me constantly doing school work, I dont get the chance to help her out much. So I decided to help her by doing service. For the second day of IBWell Friday I decided to do more service however this time for both my mom and dad. I thought I would make them some breakfast so got up early before my dad left for work and made french toast with tea.

Learning Outcomes Achieved:

LO1 – It was not as much of an identifying a weakness however I had realized how I had been playing games a lot and realized that I need to start being active since I do not travel while being at home all day

LO3 – As can be seen by the two screenshots of the documents made earlier, I had properly planned out both of my IBeWell Friday’s. This was very helpful as I saw the benefits of planning something out and how to manage time properly
