Running Out of Time Baton Relay

“Running Out of Time” is a baton relay that carries a powerful message from the youth calling for high-quality climate education addressing the COP27’s decision-makers who are meeting in Sharm el-Sheik in Egypt. To illustrate how local activities have an impact on climate change globally, schools from all across the world were encouraged to participate. On Wednesday the 2nd of November, OSC was determined to contribute and participate in this baton relay at the school field. The entire school, including the students from all grades and preschoolers, as well as the teachers received the opportunity to participate in this short relay. Shortly after homeroom, everyone was told to come to the field in their PE kits. It lasted for around 30-45 minutes, however, as for the total distance, we roughly ran about 30km collectively as a school. I am very much obliged to have been a part of the team that organized the baton relay, and needless to say, the event was a success.
