Service has started, and our group is already in action. In our last meeting, we were discussing about organising a sterilisation camp for dogs and cats.

We also received a request to position the camp close to Water’s Edge, since it was brought to our attention that there are many dogs and cats wondering on the streets.

We are still waiting for more information about the situation, however we are already planning and preparing for organising this event. We were also preparing an email to send to owners of properties in that area explaining to them our intentions and asking for their permission to set the sterilisation camp there.

Sri Lanka has many stray dogs, which is why sterilisation and vaccination are extremely important, not only for the dogs, but for people too. I am glad to be able to be part of a service that will contribute to the community.
