Creativity: Testing out a new form of art media

As part of my larger creativity goal, I began creating pieces of artwork. as part of this goal I wanted to expand my skills in visual arts and test out new forms of media, therefore today I took interest in a form of art that consisted of using black paper and colored pencils. the reason I was so drawn to this form of media and art was because of how the use of a dark background allowed colors to be emphasized and exaggerated allowing the details and form of the artwork to pop.

I created a total of 3 artworks so far all of which have been on black paper. before I started drawing and coloring I began gathering ideas from social media and then sketching drafts into my sketchbook. I then began to draw the basic outline of each artwork on black paper with an ordinary pencil. then I proceeded to color and use other forms of media in order to complete each individual piece. overall this was an interesting form of media which I quite enjoyed and could see my self doing again in the future
