For my CAS project, I chose to design the hoodies for my grade for this year. I decided this would be the best choice as my classmates would love to have a hoodie as a memorabilia that they can even wear once they are out of school. Personally, I also prefer to wear hoodies whenever possible. Hence I was quite excited and passionate about getting this made in the best way possible to match everybody’s preferences. In my opinion, this project also fulfills the objective of the CAS project. The creativity enhanced through CAS is used to design a useful product that the classmates will find attractive.

Before I get into the details abut the project, I would like to thank some of my friends from my grade who were a great support in making this project a success.

Let me take you through the journey of designing a senior hoodie!!

1. I started designing the hoodies from scratch using Canva.
2. Originally, I designed 3 samples but after getting some feedback from my classmates, I ended up designing 5 samples.
3. When designing, I always considered matching different preferences of my classmates by different samples.
4. For a couple of designs, I made sure that the designs are also suitable to be worn outside of school since all of us are going for higher education to different parts of the world.
5.  To narrow down the choices, I got my classmates to vote on the designs they liked, through a google form.
6. I got 29 responses from everyone in our grade which made the survey successful in finalizing a design that the majority likes.

   

    

7. My next step was to find a clothing manufacturer.
8. I got samples of different sizes they had so my classmates can easily pick their sizes.
9. Then, I asked about the prices from the clothing manufacturer and collected the respective amount from each student in my grade.
10. In addition, I also planned a little token of motivation to be given with every hoodie. This was tiny laminated cards personalized and bearing few words “Dream Big, Work Hard, Never Give Up”. I came up with this idea to make sure that my classmates who will be scattered around the world for higher studies, will remember to stay motivated regardless of any challenge they are faced with.

    

    I sincerely hope that whenever my colleagues see this hoodie, they are reminded of the beautiful memories from the time they spent at OSC and I also hope the sight of the card will inspire them to work harder and not give up on their dreams.
