My cousins and I got together on the 30th of December and decided to go for a lunch to mark the end of 2020. After the lunch, my sister came up with an idea to go karting In Dubai Mall. There is a Karting zone in the Dubai Mall called ‘EKart Zabeel’. We were also excited as it had been a long time since we last did karting. Personally, I have always loved karting, as it is one of the activities that I enjoy doing.

When we arrived, there was a lot of people waiting for their turn. When our turn came up we got dressed in the protective gear and the safety awareness session conducted by the instructors.

After we got dressed, we headed to the track which was outdoors and each of us got assigned a number. This number corresponded with a go-kart and we started. The experience was amazing and consisted of some funny incidents where some drivers bumped into each other. This is was mostly because there was seven of us, and most of the time we were blocking each other trying to be the first. It was quite irritating when they slowed us down whenever two people bumped into each other. as the karts were electric, the instructors could control them. We drove for approximately 8 min per session which was not adequate at all so we decided to go for another session.

In this experience, I honestly had so much fun and it was a very good break from the routine of online schooling and studying. This thrilling adventure will always be one of my memorable experiences from Dubai and from the time from being with my cousins.
