Fitness at Home and CAS Activity day

The past couple of months have been interesting and unusual, to say the least, so exercise and activity have been import as a ‘normal’.  I’ve tried different things including biking, running, morning walks, swimming at Gregory’s Road a few times a week, video workouts, and yoga workouts.

During CAS on January 11th, we were given the hour and a half of class time to get up and do something active.  I hadn’t done any exercise that morning, so I took the opportunity to go for a walk with my dog. We walked for around 20 minutes it was about 2.5 km. It was a basic route, just around the block a few times but we were both tired after we finished. When we got back home we stayed outside in the sun and just enjoyed being outside. Overall, it was nice to get out, be away from a screen, and move.

Relation to CAS goals and learning outcomes:

  • perseverance throughout the last few months and the continuation of exercise to stay healthy
  • getting in the pool again! (related to my CAS goal with swimming)
  • focusing on areas where I need improvement (aspects of fitness eg. cardio, strength, flexibility…)
