As it is a start of another new year, I wanted to join a new service group because I have been wanting to try a new service experience and recognise new members in the community. I already took part in one of the service groups last year: SOS village. In the first meeting all the group members shared about themselves and got introduced by the all group. We discussed about the plans that are ahead and that are going to take place this year. Each member contributed at least one idea and the team was abled to come up with more than 10 ideas by the end of the meeting. As the next step we will reach out to a guest speaker who will be giving us a speech about raising awareness about cancer. We will pan on adding new posts to the instagram account and strengthen the social media aspect of it and it will be a great opportunity for people in the community to get to know about the service group.
