First meeting with Gecko Net Supervisor

The second week coming back from summer service was set to commence. Gecko Net would host new members and add two new Gecko Net supervisors. Ms. Angel and Mr. Scott were going to be supervising, which means the service leaders (Thisath, Vinuda, and I) had to discuss our future endeavors for the service and how our final year in a service group would look. Firstly we had to explain what Gecko Net was about, the overall aim, and how it was provided to the OSC community. It followed with stories and the history of Gecko Net. Due to it being our final year in school, we had to search for a new service leader and what were the different criteria involved when choosing a good leader. We also discussed the goals of the service group and here are a few of them:

• Choosing the next Gecko Net service leader (following criteria)
• With other members having limited experience, we wish to teach them the fundamentals of editing and capturing footage.
• Hosting boys’ volleyball and girls’ football will become a huge challenge for the service as we have to raise standards and produce content with high quality.
• Produce higher quality content using time, effort, and skill
