In this blog I will share my experiences of the CAS component of the DP system. CAS stands for creativity, activity, and service and is an important part of the IB. I will participate in activities of each segment each semester and show my experiences, learning and challenges in posts throughout the following two years.
Hello, my name is Yoosuf Nazme. I joined the Overseas School of Colombo in Grade 6, approximately 5 years ago. I came from another international school in Colombo named Gateway College. I have only lived in one country which is Srilanka and was born here. But my mother is from Indonesia and my father was born here in Srilanka, so I am half and half. My favorite subject back then was PHE but in DP it is no longer a subject so now my favorite subject is economics. I play a few sports such as volleyball, football, and badminton. This is only a tiny fraction of my personal interest and is a brief introduction of myself. But it is the start of getting to know me as I embark on the CAS journey.
