In December, the senior production at our school presented “Antigone Now,” a modern take on the ancient Greek tragedy by Sophocles. As a member of the chorus, I had the honor of being a part of this incredible play, and it was truly an experience I will never forget.

From the first rehearsal, I knew that this production was going to be something special. The cast and crew worked tirelessly to perfect every aspect of the play, from the blocking to the lighting and sound design. The hard work paid off, as both evening shows were a huge success. The audience was captivated by the powerful performances of the actors, and the hauntingly beautiful score that accompanied the play.

As a member of the chorus, I had the opportunity to work closely with all the other members of the cast and crew. We spent hours rehearsing our lines and movements, and it was amazing to see how we all came together to create a cohesive play.

What made this production even more special was the friendships I made along the way. As a senior, I didn’t have many opportunities to interact with students from other grades, but being a part of the production allowed me to get to know some amazing people I otherwise may not have had the chance to meet. It was incredible to see how we all came together as a team, supporting each other and working towards a common goal.

Now that the production is over, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia. It was such a fun experience to be a part of, and I will always look back on it with fond memories. I am grateful to have been a part of such a talented and dedicated cast and crew, and I will cherish the friendships I made throughout the rehearsal process.
