CAS Goals for Senior Year

It has only been one year since I have become a gecko at OSC, but I already feel attached and adapted to the whole community. This however is going to be my second and final year at OSC before I graduate. So I am trying to make the best out of it. These are my goals for this year:

CREATIVITY:

The senior production is scheduled for this year now that classes are returned to their regular schedule. I must admit that I consider myself fortunate that I finally had the chance to participate in such an activity. With all that is happening during practices, my enthusiasm for drama is escalating. I intend to make the most of this enthusiasm by giving the final performance my best. Having said that, I also intend to resume several pursuits that I had put on hold for a while, such as piano and guitar practice. Despite the fact that I’ve only stopped practicing my guitar skills since last year (let’s hope I still retain the majority of what I’ve learned), I haven’t played piano in more than six years. It follows that I must reboot my memory and start over with each note. But I’m confident that my enthusiasm for it will not wear me out. Along with all of this, I believe I should start something using my passion and skill for dance, which is one of my favorite pastimes to decompress.

ACTIVITY:

I have restarted swimming!! With the Covid19 pandemic, I had to stop swimming, but I didn’t get the chance to instantly restart it because of all the workload I had for last year. But starting this month, every Sunday morning i will be having swimming practices from which I will try to improve my skills. I should also organize to meet with some of my friends from previous school and play badminton together, as we used to do few time back. With academic activities such as IAs and EE getting out of the way, I am trying my best to organize myself and balance all my activities so I won’t be too stressed with the workload for this Senior year.

SERVICE:

For this year, I am hoping to continue being a part of the “Girls for Girls” service group. What’s new is that this year me and my fellow member Nayara will be leading this service group, which will be a major responsibility. However, we have a lot of plans on raising awareness and being more inclusive on the activities that we do regarding the sexually abused survivors. We as a whole group, under the supervising of Ms. Kamila, are trying to explore different ways in which our service group can develop.
