As this is my 6th year being a Gecko, it was really emotional knowing that this is my last year and that I would be graduating soon. But I knew that the CAS grind had to be back and running again ! I decided to continue my general goals from DP 1, which were to make sure I can have many opportunities for activity and service like I do with creativity (so my CAS journey would be more balanced and equal) and to try new things and challenges whenever they come to me. This is so I can see where I went wrong last year and improve.
Creativity
Film Making: For my CAS project, I decided to make a short film because film is my biggest passions and I want to study that after I graduate. I managed to finish up the script, I just need to cast people for the roles. My goal for this is to make this first film of mine as good as I can and finish it on time so I can achieve this as my CAS project.
Youtube Channel: Like last year, I started a YouTube channel to post vlogs for the fun days (whether in school or outside of school). They will be also known as little scattered video diaries since I vlog depending on the day. My goals are still to remind myself to record anything I feel is worth recording and to not procrastinate on posting.
Photography Account: @narascameraroll is an Instagram account where I post photos on the family camera (Canon IXUS) that was made after Highlands Week Without Walls, and it has 169 posts and 78 followers currently. Like the YouTube channel, it was made to originally look back on memories for when I can’t have my phone on trips … but now, I realized I can take photos whenever I think would be fun to post. Same like my YouTube channel goals, my goals are to remind myself to bring my camera to certain trips or events and to not procrastinate on posting.
Activity
Working Out: To make sure I stay healthy and fit, I can follow workouts on YouTube that work for me. Whether that’s yoga, cardio, stretching, HIIT, etc., anything would really benefit me. I also need to realize when to have rest days so I don’t overwork myself. My goal is to stay healthy and fit by doing some workouts. Once I get the consistency of working out (my first activity goal), I’ll take it to the next level and start going to the gym.
Service
Hope for Kids: I (yet again) decided to switch my service to Hope for Kids this year because I felt that service was for me and I wanted to diversify my interests more. Hope for Kids is a service group helping kids with cancer and in the hospital. My goal is to contribute to the group in any way that I can.
