End of an Era

DP 1 ending feels so unreal, it went by really fast and I went through a lot whether that was great moments or challenges. From the many trips to the deadlines coming closer, so much really happened. I’ve learnt so much throughout this year academically as well as personally and I can’t wait to see what DP 2 has in store for me. So, I decided to make this post all about recapping my CAS journey during my first half of DP.

Creativity

This was my most done criteria out of the 3, but it was my favorite one to do for sure. I’ve done things like vlog for my YouTube channel, went to Thailand for ISTA where I got to explore more theatre skills, join the Senior Voice for Spring Gala.

But my proudest moment would definitely be having the honor to direct the Middle School Production with Ms Jackson. I say this because I got to learn the directing side of theatre and would use these skills in the future (if I decided to do film for college).

Activity

My biggest problem with this is that I didn’t have as much time with this criteria as much as I wanted. Nevertheless, I managed to do things like workout at home and hike up mountains during trips like the Down South Week Without Walls trip and the Sinrahaja IA trip. My goal for DP 2 is focus more on activity to make up for me not having as much blogs for this criteria this year.

Service

Recycling and Sustainability is a big of my DP 1 journey as compared to MYP kids, I had to be in this service for the whole year. I feel like I gave my all to this service and showed potential to be a possible leader. From speaking out loud to the whole secondary school in December to join the service to going to the local paper shop, I feel like I improved a lot about my knowledge about recycling in OSC and in Battaramulla.
