Running out of Time is a message from us to all the world leaders that’ll be attending the COP27 in Egypt on the 6th of November. This Baton Relay was a global initiative that 1 million people from 68 different countries participated to bring awareness of the effects of Climate Change on the Youth and the Earth. My service- Eco-Schools in collaboration with Housing and Habitat and Recycling and Sustainability,  headed this event at OSC, we had continuous meetings and discussions every week on Thursdays and Fridays to plan and discuss how to make our whole school involved in the Baton Relay. The batons which we used for the relay were made from bio-degradable materials- Bamboo, and had a message within them that two students read at the end of the relay.

On the 2nd of November, the entire school was on the field at 8.30 am. Chathil and I addressed everyone about the significance of being a part of Running Out of Time, we also spoke of the importance of activism and what we could do to decrease our footprint. The Baton Relay was a success and ended with the hope that this event would make world leaders lead by action and not just through words.
