“The fruit of your own hard work is the sweetest” Deepika Padukone

The wait for almost a year is finally over, Volleyball season is here! Volleyball is a sport that I truly enjoy, this is because I see the sport as also a form of art. It’s a cycle that almost always needs to be fulfilled to get a point or at least to put on a good show for the crowd. The rallies, the diving and the hitting are all possible because of one main thing.

Yes, its skill and hard work. But out of all these things, teamwork is the most essential factor in this sport. This is why I love it, it is depicted by the trust you lend to your teammates and the togetherness that makes a volleyball team a true team. This is what makes Volleyball unique in almost every aspect.

I play as the team’s libero, an anchor in the team where I recieve and dive to keep the ball in play. It’s a challenging role to play as I need to predict the opponents move and my passing ought to be consistent. The team’s chances this year is more robust because our chemistry is better and we have a batch of new players who bring a lot to the team.

With hard work, this team has the potential to be a SAISA winning team, as the season goes on I hope to witness this potential with the team.
