Goals (DP2)

Creativity:

Last year for my creative goal, I wanted to have more performances at school and improve my stage presence as a singer. It was something familiar to me, something I didn’t have to spend much time learning new skills for. Therefore, this year my goal is to do something unfamiliar to me, like pottery. My mother always goes to pottery classes on Saturdays, which is why I got the idea to also start learning this new skill. I think pottery is an interesting, creative, and artistic skill to acquire while practicing patience, resilience as well and out-of-the-box thinking along the process.

Activity:

Same as last year, my goal is to continue my progress in the gym. However, this year my goal is more specific on the outcomes I want to achieve. After more than a year in the gym, I no longer consider myself a beginner. Hence, my goal for this year is to build more muscle mass, and tone all muscle groups, all while supporting my progress with diet, specifically my protein intake. I aim to consume around 130g of protein on all gym days which will substantially help increase my muscle growth. Furthermore, I want to target tracking my progress in more detail. For isntance, I want to track my weight gain, take progress pictures, and calculate my protein intake.

Service:

I am still in the ‘Care for Paws’ service this year, a service to increase sterilization and protection for the stray dog and cat community in Colombo. Stray animals have always been something I have been passionate about helping. Hence, this year I aimed to have a higher role in the service, and I have now become a service leader along with two other peers of mine. This way I will be able to suggest and initiate more helpful sterilization camps, and fundraisers to raise both awareness and money for the cause.
