Care for Paws 23-24 Service Year- 7/09/23

Coming into my final year of Service at OSC, I’m very excited to be one of the service leaders of the group Care for Paws. I joined this group at the beginning of last year, but quickly became very involved and dedicated to the cause. After learning all about what Care for Paws as a group is about, this year I am ready to take on the leadership position along with Mali from DP1, and Maya from DP2, with the help of our amazing supervisor: Ms. Francemone. Already on our agenda so far is our annual sterilisation camp, which we are hoping to do by the end of October, somewhere In Dehiwela, where a lack of sterilisation has been brough to our attention. Before the camp, we are hoping to do some fundraising at the SCN welcome back picnic on the 16th of this month, by selling soft drinks, as we had sucess with doing this last year on sports day. To organize this we will contanct and arrange the necessary payment, order, and fridge with Mr. Rajiv from the business office. This thursday the 7th is our first session, so introducing ourselves and the group to new members, along with informing thenm of our plans from this semester will be the main focuses.
