Photography Around Port City

Sunset composition #1

Inspired by the photo submissions to the Katha Magazine, I took some pictures around Port City on my way home as well. The sunset was absolutely beautiful, and it was very astonishing to see that the sky, spreading in front of me, looks completely different on each side of the road. Towards the west, the glow of the sun at the end of the horizon looks bold, brilliant, and rich in color, when the clouds, gilded by the sun, was glowing in a gentle shade before dark falls upon them. On this side, the silky, smooth collusion. of colors for the clouds were celebrating the end of the day in a symphony, the sand dunes worked as a backdrop to make the clouds and the sun standout visually. On the contrary, the patterns and colors towards the east has little to no variation, with city lights shining in the distance, and the clouds moving away towards the West.

Looking Back

What was notable was the contrast of a barren construction site and a metropolitan scene, the aesthetic was very visually pleasing to see, while the viewers can also feel the pace in which a society develops. Looking in front, there was only endless sand dunes and incomplete construction sites, whilst looking back, I’m leaving all the prosperity behind. Living in the middle ground like this allows me to gain better insight of city infrastructure and the development of a country, and also gives me the opportunity to appreciate the majestic view – a collaboration of human and nature.
