QUARANTINE DIARIES 7: A NEW FORM OF EXCERCISE

This second round of ‘quarantining’ has definitely been different for me than the first time at the start of March, the reason being that I am now more accustomed to the routine of studying from home and practically doing everything there. However, this is not to undermine any of the struggles that I have been, and still am, going through with regards to adjusting my daily routine and balancing my time between school, napping, studying, and doing exercise.

It’s definitely hard to juggle all of these responsibilities, especially when there is a severe lack of motivation. Nonetheless, it all comes down to prioritizing and managing your time wisely, although that has become an issue for me with regards to being active, as I have a medical intervention on one of my feet, disallowing me from wearing shoes for over a month, and therefore making it hard for me to do cardio workouts like running, which is one of my favorite forms of activity, especially during quarantine.

However, I’m a lot better now and am therefore starting to get back into the routine of doing exercise, but this time in a different way than before, as I recently got a dog during quarantine and I therefore run and walk with him, making it fun both for him and me and allowing us both to perform exercise. I’m open to exploring new forms of exercise throughout this period of both instability and uncertainty, and will therefore continue to search for new workout methods and ways to remain active, but for now, running and walking my dog seems to be working!
