Running with my dog 4 km in Zekeriyakoy, in the dog park. As I usually go on very early morning jogs I decided to go on an evening job after school with my dog to get some air and exercise.
Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience:
Usually, I go on morning runs from 5 am to 6 am however since the weather is getting colder and my dog can not go on walks at night with my parents, I decided to plan my runs in the afternoon around 3 to 4 so that I can run with my company, my dog, and take him on his daily walks at the same time. I also looked up the hours of the dog park to run there for a change so that after the run my dog can play with the other dogs in the dog park. I will continue doing my runs in the evenings to take my dog on playdates and also jog in a slightly warmer period of the day.
Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences:
I have been running consecutively every day for 5 months, as I increased my daily distance from 3 km to 6 km. My perseverance and commitment to my daily runs have increased my stamina and made my legs muscles stronger than before. However, due to the snow and extremely low temperatures in Turkey, I can no longer run for long periods of time. However, instead of stopping my running habit I show intense commitment and go on short runs every day. Even though this may make me lose some progress I believe it will keep me fit and I will be ready to play football in the upcoming season and continue running 6 km a day since the weather is better.
