As the last service session for seniors approaches, it is important to look back at everything that was completed in my time in Recycling and Sustainability:

• Cooking with bio-gas and teaching PYP and younger R&S students how it works
• Using the effluent as fertiliser for recent plant beds
• Earth week
• Fieldtrip to IWMI (cancelled fieldtrip to Kaduwela)
• Weekly collections including reintroducing sections of admin to the route
• Trips to the recycling centre to deliver collected paper and cardboard
• A new recycling room was built out of reused materials
• Leadership has been passed on
• Sustainability workshop by Kanchana Weerakoon  who flew in from India that featured a sustainable and vegetarian lunch
