Day 4

After a really chill Wednesday, today we were going to hike Pidurangala! After the 20km bike to the big rock, we got prepared at the base with our water and bags and started the 40 minute climb.

The view at the top was absolutely gorgeous and I’d say worth the climb! After the hike, we headed back on our bikes towards the town area where we stopped by for a great lunch and to stock up on snacks. I was so exhausted that my legs were shaking after the hike! It was worth it for the view though!

After a rejuvenating lunch, we headed back to BOB still as tired as ever! My legs were absolutely destroyed today!

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

My stamina, strength and fitness overall is something I can work on as I haven’t done much physical exercise throughout the pandemic, thus this WWW trip was great in kickstarting my fitness via the cycling and hiking we did.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

The hiking and biking today were very tiring, however, I persevered and pulled through the day. Being a  highly physically intensive day, I think it has helped me get my stamina and strength back to where it was prior to when lockdown started as I haven’t done anything as physically intensive as today ever since.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

We were all there to support each other, through the hiking and enjoyed the view at the top together!
