Today was the first day of housing a new habitat. Our service leaders, Ansel and Jed, gave us an overview of all the events we will be doing this year. These include helping the Vidya Loka school using the $70k we made last year from the home run event. We plan to make necessary furniture for the school, create compost, conduct home runs, increase the frequency of bake sales which proved to be a good source of income last year, and make 6 more garden beds.

I’m really excited about the various projects that we are going to be doing this year inside and outside the school. Last year, our service was very inactive as we were only able to conduct a homerun and make 3-4 garden beds around the school. This time around, the service group aims to handle multiple projects at once to make the service more active and sustainable for the future. We also hope to receive more projects from the school and from other places outside of the school.
