Cooking with Friends!
Over the weekend I spent some time with my friends. We hung out in one of their apartments, and just listened to music and caught up on everything that had happened in our lives recently. We were originally planning on ordering pizza, but somehow, we decided to cook dinner instead! We decided that we wanted to make pasta, since it was simple, and wouldn’t take very long. As I had the most experience with cooking, I tried to get people organized, which was honestly quite a difficult task!
After a hectic twenty minutes, we had a large bowl of cheesy pasta with crunchy garlic bits! There weren’t enough bowls, so we all grabbed a fork and dug in together. It was quite delicious, however, nowhere near enough to feed us all (it was quite late so there was no way were going to go make more), but still, I had a great time and it was something that we are going to remember for a long time!
Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth – Cooking is definitely a strength of mine, and whenever I’m in the kitchen, I’m always looking to expand my skill set and grow as a chef.
5. Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively – It was a lot of fun to work with my friends to make the pasta, and a few of the benefits were the fact that the process was a lot faster, and more fun!
