Drum Lessons

Recently I had my first drum lesson after school. I chose to do this for my creativity aspect. I really enjoy anything to do with music. I know how to play quite a few instruments as I’ve slowly had lessons and picked them up throughout my childhood. I started off playing piano when it was little, and as I got a little older I went to ukulele. After ukulele, I switched to acoustic guitar and then electric guitar which I have stuck with for quite a while. I have always wanted to learn the drums so I took this as an opportunity to learn something that I am genuinely interested in doing. A goal for me would definitely be to play and do some type of performance, whether that’s at church or at a gala. During my first lesson, I learned a warm-up technique. I was quite happy with how it went because my teacher told me that I picked up the tempo quite fast and I know how to stay on beat. So far it’s a great start so I’m looking forward to seeing how I move through these next 2 years learning the drums or if I’ll ever end up switching to a different instrument.
