SAISA volleyball 2022 tournament

From the 19th to the 23rd of October, I went to Kathmandu, Nepal to participate in the 2022 Saisa volleyball tournament. I played for the Saisa team and was a great experience overall as I got to meet new people and form new bonds. But it was a difficult experience as the saisa team has never played together before so communication and team chemistry were at a low. But during the 3 days of playing volleyball together, we showed improvement in our performance but also team chemistry and communication between all the players. Another challenging aspect of the tournament was that I played as an outside hitter (spiker) while I only played as a libero for OSC. No one else in the SAISA could spike so I took on the role with Hyun Jey which was my opposite spiker from the American school of Bombay. I think I did a pretty good job of spiking for the team even if I was the libero for OSC.  I played the role for the rest of the tournament and throughout the 3 days we showed improvement and fought hard against opposing teams.  We came last place overall but it was still of eye-opening, struggling but fun experience.
