My current idea for the CAS Project

I’ve always wanted to engage in Creativity for my CAS Project, this is likely because due to the fact that I was not able to choose both Chemistry and Visual Arts in DP. Therefore, I plan on applying my love for digital art in the form of an album.

In this album, I plan on incorporating multimedia techniques and different art styles that I’m interested in to make 23 artworks. Although I believe it will be challenging to complete all 23 by the deadline, this is going to be my overall aim. My reason for creating 23 artworks specifically is to signify our graduating year.

The different art styles will be a great way for me to immerse myself in the media that I like – for instance, I plan on having at least one artwork in a manga style. I will base these art styles on the various media that I consume and other traditional digital art techniques which I may have wanted to experiment with but never got the chance.

Thus, my primary goal for this CAS Project is to make it a fun way to explore and exhibit different art forms. Subsequently, I hope to discover new artistic sides to myself and understand my own personal artistic style more.

The final medium that my project will be presented in will be (hopefully) an art album. However, I am aware that this may change due to potential issues with printing or pixels.

I think that this CAS Project will be a fun way of engaging my creative side as well as interacting with digital art – which has been a large part of my CAS goals since DP1!
