Translation:

For the creativity part of CAS in French, I wanted to make a poster on Marie Curie. This is because, in my opinion, Marie Curie is a very important figure in the history of science and also the history of women.

I think she is a fantastic feminist icon and her work formed many modern discoveries.

She was a brilliant scientist and this poster that I made talks about her discoveries of “Polonium” and “Radium”. I think that I covered many of the important things on Marie Curie, but of course, there is a lot more on this subject.

Also, I find that making posters like this is an advantage in general, because I practice my skills in graphic design. So, this practice is reason for being more efficient when I make posters for other subjects and service (because for RTR I make quite a few posters).

Learning outcomes:

  • LO2 – Challenge and skills
    • Making this poster in French was a bit of a challenge, and one thing that I had to be cautious about were the accents that I was using. I had to confer with Ms. Fert in order to make sure that there were no errors in this poster I think that this allowed me to grow my skills in writing and communication a bit more.
    • Additionally, making a CAS post in French was something new. I believe that writing something in French and being able to manually translate it back was great practise for my French reading and writing.
