Service Sign-up Video

Recently, Mr. Poulus asked the service leaders to create a video explaining our services and the new approach to DLP service Thursdays. This was really interesting to invest time in because I had to plan the video and then record it on zoom giving the OSC community an insight on what SOS Village is and what we do. I’ve Been a part of this service group since Grade 9 and I am very enthusiastic about this service carrying on in DLP because it will be something different for a change since we are all tired of staying home. This is a part of service for the OSC community as well as creativity because this video required me to plan the video, make the presentation and then present it. It took me a good 5 tries to reach the final video but at the end of the day, it came out well and it worked. I worked simultaneously with Dr. Leigh and Mr. De Silva and I had their full support whilst planning this video. The final video is attached below! This service and creativity CAS experience involves the learning outcomes 3,4 and 7. Whilst talking about a service group, I have to always be ethical and respectful towards the SOS Village itself. Which is why LO7 is involved in this CAS experience. A few takeaways from this experience for me would be speaking a bit slower and being concise. I am beyond thrilled to start service thruways again and I feel like even though we are on DLP we should still keep out spirits high and smiles on! we can make it through this and we can make service Thursdays fun an engaging for everyone involved.
