Louis' CAS Journey

The mystery of human existance lies not in staying alive, but in finding something to live for – Fyodor Dostoevsky

Home Exercise

Over the past few months and in keeping with my goals, I have been using the next-door gym to maintain fitness and physical health. Unfortunately due to the recent rising in COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka and Colombo, the gym was closed this week for safety and to decrease transmission.

Therefore I have had to re-design my exercise plan to cater to my home, which luckily (thanks to lockdown) has a treadmill. Over the past week I have begun running every other day, which I plan to ease into running every single day, for about 2-3 kilometers. I find this is enough to develop endurance and sufficiently exercise my lower body without spending too long running.

I have also started doing body weight exercises such as push ups and sit ups as I lack exercise equipment and have had to get ingenuitive. So far I have successfully maintained this regiment, which I have found makes me less tired throughout the day and makes me feel much more engaged and awake in class.
