I recently got asked to do a photo shoot for the new TAFA kit (not a very serious modelling shoot obviously) and it was loads of fun! They had asked us to do the photoshoot to model the new playing kit as well as the new coach’s kit.
I was joined with the other intern, Aaron, and we also posed with some of the kids. The location of the place that we took the photos was at Park Street Mews in front of Monsoon as they are one of the sponsors for TAFA. There were 3 other younger kids that had joined us.
This was a nice creative outlet for me as I got to have fun with taking different styles of photos, landscapes, portraits, and we took some photos on an app that made it look like we were moving! The plan for the photos is that they are going to be advertised on the TAFA Instagram as well as the TAFA website. We were also holding Nike footballs in order to try and get Nike to sponsor TAFA (very unlikely but still thought that we would give it a try!)
After we had taken the photos I had sat with one of the guys who ran the account and he let me look at a couple of the photos and make an attempt at editing them. Started on an app that I was familiar with which was VSCO but I am not used to heavy colour editing. He then asked if I wanted to watch him edit the photos on photoshop. It was crazy how detailed he was when editing the photos, making the colours vibrant and taking out imperfections in the background, he let me give it a go but I was horrific at it!
The photoshoot was loads of fun as I got to interact with some of the kids and have fun posing and taking photos, I also got a couple of tips on how to edit photos on Photoshop and VSCO.
