About two to three weeks ago, I decided to sign up for a Domestika course to expand my knowledge on character design and digital art in general. I took a class on methodology and conceptualism, which comes with designing characters (taught by Jordi Ros). The course taught me much about the professional process typically followed by most animators, illustrators, game designers, etc. I also learnt a lot about the artistic side, specifically how techniques may differ when creating characters via digital means. The course consisted of 4 units, 1 of which focused solely on colour theory within digital media; here, I understood more about colour relativity, colour choice and the various other aspects falling under this domain. Overall, I would rate this experience a 10/10 as I learnt a lot which I probably wouldn’t have on my own.
