As now I’m transiting into the Diploma Program of IB, there will be many challenges I will face during this program. Some will be more challenging than others, however all these challenges will make me a successful individual in the future. In these upcoming 2 years, my greatest challenge would be to broaden my comfort zones by participating in activities which I have never tried, such as most creative activities. Below I’ve explained what I intend to accomplish this year as part of success and CAS.

Creativity

I’ve been part of COMUN since 2017 in which I was a delegate but throughout my experience with COMUN I realized that my passion is more towards the technology side of COMUN and I would be highly creative in organizing the COMUN website and producing relevent media. My goal for this year, 2018-19 is to create an android and IOS mobile app for the COMUN website because from my last years’ experience with COMUN, I think it will be easier for COMUN delegates and exco members to get the latest news about COMUN events, committees, deadlines, etc. on their phone as it is faster and students nowadays use more phone than laptops. An app will also notify them about any events in COMUN XXV by which it will help the OSC COMUN faculty to run COMUN XXV smoothly.

Athletics:

Since the past 2 years I’ve gotten many opportunities to be part of a Saisa sport team, more specifically football, basketball, volleyball and track and field, and play in Saisa tournaments, however I’ve not yet been able to travel for any due to the expenses. My goal for this year is to qualify for basketball this year and travel for the tournament because Saisa its not only a tournament, it also helps to develop teamwork skills and collaboration which I’ll need in DP and throughout my life.

Service:

My goal for this year is to make sure every classroom in this school has an appropriate recycling box throughout the year by which all waste (food, plastic, paper, etc.) will not get mixed in because as being part of the Recycling and Sustainability  service group I’ve observed that many classrooms have paper materials mixed with food in one trash bag and I think in order to stop this from happening, my goal is to make sure that every class room has a separate recycling box and provide them before autumn break if they require one.
