Work? On Holiday?

During my October break, I decided to go to my mom’s office, The Asia Foundation and work on some audio recordings, more specifically, Audiobooks. During the summer vacation, I did an internship there and I was tasked with working with a unit of the Foundation called “Books For Asia” which aims to donate books to libraries, schools, and societies, with special focus on kids, and people who don’t have access to them. The Foundation is moving with new technology, and focusing on transferring stories from physical kids books to eBooks. I managed to record 15 books for the website called “Let’s Read,” an online library filled with books with different translations and audio aids. This was a good process to do as I do have some experience with audio technology. I am given a couple of books to read from the online library, and then I would record the books to an application which would then later allow me to process the tracks, and then I would separate them into different pages, which finally would be synced with the text of the books. Whenever I go to the Foundation, I at least have something that I can do and also something that I can genuinely enjoy. I believe that it was a great opportunity for me to experience how kids of this age could learn and enhance their knowledge. For your listening pleasure, I have given the link to the audio books.
