Day 2
Kickstarting my freezing cold morning with a rough sleep, we had a light breakfast before we set off on our longest day of cycling! With a total of 45 km today, we went past a beautiful lake and briefly explored the town area near where we were staying before we headed back to camp.

After the really really tiring cycle, we got a chance to have some downtime before the bike maintenance workshop. Hence, I went for a quick shower and got a nap in before the informational workshop session hosted by Mr Peter. We learned a lot about the inner workings of the bike and in the end, we learned how to assemble a bike from scratch!

At the end of the day, group 1 prepared dinner from the groceries they bought in town, while group 2 hosted a game of musical chairs for everyone to play after dinner. Even though day 2 was absolutely tiring, it was an incredible team-building experience for all of us to get closer.
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Learning about the inner workings of a bike was an interesting session as we understood how a bike worked, how to assemble one, and all the parts involved that allow it to function as it is.
LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
Cycling over 40km on the second day of the trip was a real challenge that I overcame and was really happy about achieving. I didn’t expect how tiring day 2 would be.
LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
Throughout the day, we cycled together across the roads, supporting each other and keeping each other safe. I didn’t realize how important it was to work together at the start, but I now understand how we need to look out for each other through the tough journey.
