My CAS Goals

Creativity:

I am taking part in art club to learn about different art styles and techniques. I will be inspired by the work of famous artists and hope to develop my own unique style. I will study their work and read articles as well as experiment with different materials and techniques.

Action: 

For my action I will be focusing on basketball, I’ll be practicing around twice a week on Sunday’s and Fridays with some of my friends who have similar goals to me and are also focusing on joining the SAISA team. I plan on continuing to practice playing basketball with my peers even once the SAISA season is over to improve on our skills and to perform at our best. To show evidence of this I will do write-ups on what we did each day and how each session went as well as providing pictures of each practice session. 

Service:

This year I’ll be taking part in Room to Read as a service leader along with two more of my peers. Room To Read is a service group that is dedicated to providing a well-resourced space for the local community of Sri Lanka by facilitating and resourcing school libraries. We help the local library to become a place of learning by fostering the love of reading through our book donations and literary activities. We work in close collaboration with our partner schools to share our love of reading while working on building their capacity to provide for their students.
