Hi everyone.
For the second term of our after school activity I decided to do basketball. Basketball is a sport that I always played (I started at 6). Therefore, taking basketball as a sport option was an obligation. Teams have been selected, 10 people preparing for SAISA taking place in Jordan.
Thisath, Ethan, Adam, Ben, Avi, Phineas, Ansel, Peter, Darius and Antoine (me).
In order to prepare for SAISA, we played some games. Against:
Gateway College: Against Gateway we played different games, we didn’t win any but I think it was good warm up games for SAISA as last year this basketball. Against them I average 15 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds.
Moyer: We played two games around Moyer and we won both. It was also good training but their team wasn’t as good as Gateway’s so it was a little easier.
Out of those practice games we learnt different things about our skills and us. First and most take away from those games is that we need to keep our mental down, in other words in all the games our mentality was going off after the first quarter making us lose the advantage and the momentum that we gained in the beginning of the game. A good take off is that against Gateway in our last game versus them our defense was really good allowing us to get advantage in the entire game, but last quarter we ran out of focus and lost the game.
Saisa is Thursday, we are leaving tomorrow. Wish us luck!!!!
Back from SAISA:
-The first day our first two games were against KAS (Pakistan) and TAISM (Oman)
We won our game again KAS, it was pretty easy…
The second game we played was against TAISM, sadly we lost but I gave it all and I tried as hard as I could.
The second day we played against AISC (Chenai) and LN (Nepal).
OUr third game was against AISC our biggest opponent, we won this game it was close but by the end we managed to win.
This is our third game against Lincoln school, sadly we lost this game but we had a lot of fun playing it. We lost this game by 1 point it was tied but we could have win the game.
