Housing and Habitat – Building Primary Garden Beds
Participating in the Housing and Habitat service initiative has been an incredibly rewarding experience, particularly with our focus on building garden beds for primary students. This project has not only allowed us to contribute positively to our school community but also has provided valuable learning opportunities for everyone involved.
Building these garden beds for the primary students has been a collaborative effort, bringing together creativity, teamwork, and practical skills. From planning the layout and sourcing materials to constructing and planting, every step has been a lesson in sustainable gardening and project management. We’ve had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of design, ensuring that the garden beds are both functional and accessible for young learners.
The impact of our work extends beyond the physical act of building. By creating these garden beds, we’ve provided the primary students with a living classroom where they can engage with the natural world, learn about plant life cycles
