Alex’s CAS Journey

My extra-curricular activities at OSC

Upcoming swimming competitions

Saisa and Tissl swim training has been an ongoing process August-November 2023

Students will be working towards earning a place in a 30-swimmer team that will travel to the SAISA competition at the American International School of Chennai, India Nov 1-5. They will be expected to practice 3 times per week and work to improve their fitness, stroke technique, and race experience.

I have registered for both Saisa and Tissl swimming competitions, and I have been training the following things 5 times a week to prepare for both.

-Lat training

-shoulder training

-sprints in all strokes except for freestyle

-form in all strokes except for freestyle

-200 and 400-meter competitive swimming in Free, Back and IM.

-overall conditioning

As for gym training, I have been easing in from recovering from a hand injury, and am mainly focusing on basic maintenance and conditioning, switching to full body 3x a week with a swimming focus considering how the competitions are only a few weeks away.
