CAS Goals

Creativity: Gecko Net – Media Content Creation, work experience 

Goal: For creativity, I plan to improve at basic media and content skills, through both Gecko Net and other mediums such as blogging/content creation. With Gecko Net we will make and broadcast content such as productions, Siasa’s, etc. The point of this is to bring a greater sense of community to OSC. On the personal side, it will teach me how to improve in digital media skills, among others. I will be working with gecko net 1–2 times a week.

Secondly from my work experience, I will work with a large service-based organization called SRP International whose objective is to help scale businesses in and outside of Sri Lanka. I will start as a management trainee, and engage in creative business skill development in multiple different departments in all areas of their business. My work study blog for Dp1 and Dp2 will be covered on a separate site.

Activity/Action: Swimming and Weightlifting 

Goal: For action, my goal is to achieve new PRs in both the gym and the pool. I will practice all 4 major swimming strokes in all different distances, with the plan of exponentially improving and competing in competitions. As for weightlifting, my goal is to also exponentially improve and to track my progress accordingly. I will complete both of these goals by swimming 3-4x a week and also going to the gym 3-4x a week.

Service: Housing and Habitat 

Goal: For service, I am joining Housing and Habitat. My goal will be to both use and teach my  woodworking skills to help benefit the OSC community. With this service we will make products such as garden beds to help OSC’s reputation as an Eco School. I will be working with this service 1–2 times a week.
