Zoe’s CAS Journey

My extra-curricular activities at OSC

Continuing my Sport

Since volleyball season has come to an end, I’m having a hard time without it. Therefore, instead of football, I decided to fully commit this season to playing volleyball outside of school. I want to play volleyball in university, therefore I devote most of my time to sport and some form of fitness because it is something that makes me happy and something that I genuinely enjoy doing. Due to school, I haven’t been going as much as I used to, but going at least once a week is better than nothing. I train with a private coach named Rangika. She is one of the most patient people that I’ve ever met. The only issue with where I train is that we don’t have proper facilities here. We train in a hot gym with no ventilation, broken nets, and volleyballs that look like they’re about to fall apart. Another issue is that I dont play with a proper team. Even though there is a lot you can learn on your own with this sport, it is mainly about how you work together with your teammates and how you as a player make decisions that are best for the team. Regardless of all of these factors, I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to train at all outside of school. I’m hoping to find a national coach who will be able to train us with a proper team so that I can get used to that feeling. I can already feel next year’s volleyball championship trophy in our grasp 😉
