Goals DP1

Creativity: For creativity, I plan on focusing on my music. Music has always been a part of my life due to singing, but over the past few years, I have started to lean more towards musical instruments. I have been learning electric guitar for about a year now and I plan to continue that throughout the remainder of high school. Along with that, I will be starting afterschool drumming classes as I am a complete beginner and my goal is to play at my church by the end of these 2 years or even sooner if it is possible.

Action: For my action, my focus at the moment is primarily on volleyball. I will be going to private volleyball training at least 1-2 times a week all year round. Throughout my CAS journey, I will update my progress on the new things that I’ve learned in order to show my improvement through the year. I will take a photo at each of the sessions in order to prove that I went to training. My ultimate goal is to play volleyball in University, Although playing in a division league is quite a far stretch, that is the type of motivation that I want to keep throughout the last 2 years of school.

Service: This year, I will be working with one of my peers as the leader of a new service called Gecko Gear. The people that I will be working with are people that I regularly speak with on a daily basis so I am looking forward to it. My goal is to create designs that every student in the school loves and my final main project would be to create senior jackets for the grade that I’m in during my senior year. By working over the 2 years with my peers, I believe that we’ll be able to take a variety of designs from different students in order to create a design that can be worn throughout the SAISA seasons as well as things that we can wear casually. To be able to see merchandise designed by us and worn by OSC geckos as well as SAISA athletes would definitely be a rewarding experience.
